We all are used to Google Earth’s interactive 3D experience to
explore our planet Earth. In the same way, now BioDigital Human lets us
navigate the internals of a human body in full-color and in 3D. To the
common man, understanding how our body functions is critical to
understand a new diagnosis or treatment method. The textual medical
reference can’t be very helpful. So, BioDigital has developed
the BioDigital Human on top of NVIDIA’s GPUs to let the user explore
intricate details of human anatomy, so that users can see the body’s
systems work in real time – be it pumping of the heart or expanding and
contracting of lungs.

Live shots of the Sony Xperia LT29i surface, looks impressive
So far, we just have spy shots and mock ups of what the Xperia LT29i would look like once it actually hit the streets. We knew it would be based on the Xperia GX that Sony launched for the Japanese market back in May but we didn’t know what the final design would look like. Lucky for us, ePrice managed to get their hands on an engineering sample of the Hayabusa and have done quite an in-depth preview of the device, which includes some nice sample shots from the 13MP camera.
Google to replace Gmail video chat with Google+ Hangouts
Google's mailing service, Gmail, has received a series of updates this year. Apart from a neater interface and other important upgrades, Gmail has also been integrated with Google's social networking website Google+. And now the company has taken one more step towards deepening Google+ integration with Gmail – replacing the video chat with Google+ Hangouts.
Google had brought the video chat feature to Gmail in 2008 and has been an important part of the mailing service since then. “Unlike the old video chat, which was based on peer-to-peer technology, Hangouts utilise the power of Google’s network to deliver higher reliability and enhanced quality,” says the Google team in a blog post.

"Wat up wit u": Yep, Texting Is Killing Students' Grammar Skills
"Wat up wit u mom I luv u" says the most recent text from my 11-year-old son. His shorthand, of course, translates to, "What’s up with you, mom? I love you." Like many of us when we text, he isn't taking the time to type out the whole sentence. Every day he and his tween peers zip a dozen similar shorthand text messages back and forth to each other. According to a new study in the journal New Media and Society, the use of these ubiquitous texting shortcuts is negatively altering their ability to identify and use correct grammar.

Apple to unveil iPhone 5, iPad mini on September 12 ?
If this rumor proves to be true, this could be one of the biggest pieces of tech news for this entire year.
Quoting “sources who have proven to be accurate in the past”, tech site iMore said, “Apple is planning to debut the new iPhone at a special event on Wednesday, 12 September 2012, with the release date to follow 9 days later on Friday, 21 September.”
Speculation that Apple will release an iPad mini has been refusing to die down, and this latest piece of news is bound to hit the rumor mills even harder. However it was widely expected that both devices would be launched in October. If both do exist however, it would most probably make sense for Apple to launch them earlier, especially as the company blamed its disappointing Q3 results on hype around the iPhone 5.

Samsung 11.8 inch Retina Display tablet revealed in Court Documents
Court documents made public in the epic Apple v. Samsung
trial that kicked off in California today reveal that Samsung is
working on a tablet codenamed "P10" that would include LTE connectivity
and an 11.8-inch display at 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA) resolution. With the new
iPad, Apple has pushed the issue of so-called Retina displays in the
tablet form factor — and it's no surprise that Samsung, one of the
world's largest suppliers of LCDs and AMOLEDs — would be pushing for a
screen to match in its own Galaxy line as quickly as possible. Though
11.8 inches might be on the hairy edge for tablet portability, the P10
would still qualify as a Retina-like device with a pixel density of 256
ppi.
