Uninor added the maximum number of subscribers across Mumbai with more than 34,967 new customers embracing Uninor services in May 2012 (as per COAI May 2012 report). 

 

Uninor’s total subscriber base across the circle is now close to 15 Lakhs. Uninor’s strong performance continues across India too. The company added more than1.5 million new subscribers across its 13 commercial circles in May and has thereby emerged as the 3rd most preferred GSM brand across the country.

Nokia is now offering Mail for Exchange  for free in the Nokia Store for Nokia Asha 302 and Asha 303. Mail for Exchange on the Asha 302 and 303 supports Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010 Servers, and Microsoft Office 365 Mobility online service.

Facebook Changed Everyone's Email ID to @facebook.com

This morning, Forbes noticed that they removed everyone's email addresses from their profiles, replacing them with an @facebook.com email address instead (not Facebook's internal email address which they use for notifications and password resets, just the one listed on your profile). Luckily, it's easy to get your old email address back on your profile:

1. Click "About" on your profile and scroll down to your email address. Click "Edit" to change them.
2. Click on the circle next to your Facebook email address and change its setting to "Hidden From Timeline".
3. Click on the circle next to your other email addresses and change their settings to "Shown On Timeline".
4. Click the Save button at the bottom of the Edit popup (Don't forget this step).

That's all it takes. It's a really quick fix, but it was a big jerk move for Facebook to do this without asking permission, or even telling you that it happened. Spread this info around so people don't get stuck without any contact information, too, lest we lose the one aspect of Facebook that was still useful.

Update: A Facebook spokesperson has responded to everyone's questions on the subject, but they don't have much to say—except that yes, they have given everyone a Facebook email address and rolled out a "new setting that gives people the choice to decide which addresses they want to show on their timelines." They did not explain why (or even acknowledge) that all of these addresses were made default on people's profiles.

Apple releases iOS 6 beta 2 for developers

Apple admits Malware Defeat

BSNL Introduces 5 New Broadband Flexi Combo Plans

India’s largest Broadband Service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced the launch of five new High Speed Unlimited Value for Money Broadband Flexi Combo Plans with same rent as usage plans for its customers.

 BSNL will be offering its plan from Rs. 500 – Rs. 1500 per month, the Rs. 500 General Combo plan will offer download speed of 2Mbps upto 3GB and 256Kbps beyond the usage limit this plan will also offer free broadband and free calling of Rs. 500 per month this is calucated depending on the rent what user is paying.

The tablet prices are tumbling… Literally every second week, we hear a new cheap / budget tablet is launched with price tag ranging from Rs. 4k to Rs. 8k.
Currently, the cheapest tablet in the market – Ubislate (the commercial version of Aakash) – has set the benchmark for lowest price tag on a tablet with a pricing of approx. Rs. 2999/-. LegallyIndia recently shared that Viacom18 has received John Doe order from Mumbai High Court for its upcoming movie Gangs of Wasseypur which is going to start screening in the country later this week. With John Doe in hands, Viacom18 can direct all ISPs to block certain filesharing sites and video portals in their sense to prevent piracy of the movie.

It isn’t the first time that movie studios are misusing this law, last year Reliance Entertainment had blocked file sharing sites like Rapidshare, Mediafire, etc. a day before Singham was released.
