Aqua 4.0 smartphone launched by Intex

Intex Technologies, a mobile phones, IT accessories, and electronic products company today forayed into the smartphones category in India with the launch of its first Android phone, Intex Aqua 4.0. Available at a price of Rs 5,490, the phone has been targeted towards urban and semi-urban students and young professionals.

MTNL begins Home Delivery of telecom connections

State-run MTNL's mobile, landline and broadband connections can be availed by just sending an SMS or communicating online, a top company official said. "Under single window service, we have started providing mobile connections, landline and broadband at the doorstep of customers. They just need to send an SMS or communicate us online about their need. This is first of its kind service in country," MTNL Executive Director A K Bhargava said.

The company has operations in Delhi and Mumbai only.

Samsung Loses $12 bln Market Value after Apple's Legal Victory

Samsung Electronics shares slumped 7.5 percent on Monday, wiping more than $12 billion off the South Korean giant's market value, as a sweeping victory for Apple Inc in a US patent lawsuit raised concerns about its smartphone business - its biggest cash cow. Samsung, which says it will contest the verdict, was ordered to pay $1.05 billion in damages after a California jury found it had copied critical features of the hugely popular iPhone and iPad and could face an outright sales ban on key products.
