UNHRC Confirms Internet Access as Human Right!

The United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC), in its 20^th session, has unanimously passed a resolution confirming Internet access being a fundamental human right. The resolution states that people should be able to express themselves freely on the Internet, same as they do in the real world.

Even countries like China, who are known for their internet censorship have backed the resolution along with all the 47 members of the UN Human Rights Council.

India, who had previously opposed this idea was also one of the members who have supported the resolution.

BSNL Slashes Price of 3G Data Card

Pan India’s 3G Mobile service operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) once again slashed the price of its plug-n-play 3G USB Dongle (3G Data Card) from Rs. 1600 to Rs. 1280 (Excluding 5% VAT) by 20% approx as a promotional offer for its prospective customer.

BSNL 3G Data card (Terracom LW272 and HFCL 3.6 Mbps) is now available at all BSNL Customer Service Centers Rs. 1280 (Excluding 5% VAT) only. Please not that the total cost of 3G Data card will be Rs. 1344 (including 5% VAT). The offer will be valid up to 2nd October, 2012.
