Amazon has launched the new Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablet which is available in two display sizes 7-inch and 8.9-inch. The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch is more powerful , sports higher resolution , and in contrast is quite slim in comparison to its 7-inch sibling.

MTNL Launches Tablet Plan for Rs. 800, Offers 10 GB 3G Data for 60 Days

MTNL 3G Data plan SIM Kit for Tablet PCs will be available for Rs. 800, offers 3G Data usage up to 10 GB valid for 60 Days (2 months) from the date of recharge or activation plus 20 minutes free Voice and Video calls. The data of 10 GB will be given through special Tablet Plan SIM Kit only and no STV will be issued.

Milagrow launches Windows 7-based tablet Kupa X11


Milagrow has launched a Windows 7-based tablet in association with Germany-based Windows tablet manufacturer KUPA. The Milagrow Kupa X11 is a 10-inch tablet that runs Windows 7 and allows stylus and touch-sensitive controls. It also has SSD storage, a built-in SIM card slot and allows you to make calls.

Portronics Launches Solution for Charging Tablets via PCs

Portronics has launched Charge It, a device that allows you to charge a mobile device such as a mobile phone or a tablet, through your computer using a USB cable. Portronics adds that the feature to charge the device exists by default in mobile phones, but not in tablets. As per the company's official statement, Portronics' new device is the intermediary that allows you to connect a tablet to a computer.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 ICS Update


Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 users can now update the tablet to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung has begun pushing ICS updates to its Galaxy Tab series of tablets.

Toshiba Rolls out Android 4.0 for 10 Inch Thrive tablet



The Toshiba Thrive tablet features a 10.1 inch display, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, and a few features you won’t find on many other Android tablets including a removable battery and full-sized USB and HDMI ports.

Toshiba discontinued the Thrive this year to make room for newer, thinner, and faster tablets. But the company is starting to roll out an over-the-air software update for anyone that has last year’s model.

While the tablet originally shipped with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, the software update brings Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Thrive.

Toshiba says the update also improves audio, video, and camera performance as well as better wireless signal strength.

Samsung Unveils Galaxy Note 10.1 in Germany, UAE

Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy Note 10.1, an extension of the Galaxy Note category. The Galaxy Note 10.1 offers the functionality and precision of a pen and paper on a 10.1-inch large display. It is armed with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. We have no confirmation on the pricing yet.
