Zen Ultratab A100 - 7 Inch Android Tablet

Zen mobiles has launched its first tablet in the market – Zen Ultratab A100 – a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen tablet loaded with the latest Android ICS OS . It is a powerful performance tablet powered by a 1.2Ghz processor and loaded with 512MB RAM . On connectivity front , the ultratab supports wireless LAN and optional 3G connectivity with external 3G data card support (USB port) . If you do not have WiFi network and still want to connect to the Internet , no worry , it has Ethernet LAN support through microUSB to Ethernet cable . There is not SIM support option , hence you can not use your network operators SIM . The front camera is of good resolution and can be used for video calling (on Wi-Fi) with Skype or GMail or any other voice chat software . On the form factor front , it is quite slim (only 10.5mm thick) and light-weight .

App Store bypassed by Russian hacker without jailbreaking

Apple is investigating yet another security breach in its iTunes app store . A Russian hacker worked out a way that allows people to bypass payment in the App Store and download products for free.

The hacker, dubbed ZonD80, posted a video of the crack on YouTube (Deleted by Youtube now) and claims that the technique makes it possible to beat Apple's payment systems by installing a couple of certificates and assigning a specific IP address to the device.

The new service, which has already been subject to attempts at shutting it down, requires no jailbreaking and only minimal configuration changes. It works by funneling purchase requests through a server operated by the hacker, rather than the legitimate one offered by Apple. As a result, charges that normally would be applied to a user's account are bypassed.

Officially XMBC Media Player announced for Android

Tonight, XMBC, the popular open-sourced media player app, has just announced that an honest-to-goodness, full featured, all-inclusive Android application is nearing a release. That means soon, Android users will be able to take full advantage of the media player solution, to stream locally stored media anywhere they can hook up their Android device. The XMBC Foundation has released the source code for the XMBC Media Player for the Android devices. The XMBC Media Player for Android will be a full-fledged multimedia player with support for popular audio-video formats. For using the XMBC Media Players, users will not have to engage any work-around with their Android devices. In coming weeks, the XMBC Foundations expects to see the first beta builds of the XMBC Media Player for Android being made available for public beta testing.
