Sony Announces Ultra Compact Cyber-shot DSC-WX170

Sony has introduced the Cybershot DSC-WX170, an ultra-compact point-and-shoot for the fashion conscious. With a thickness of just 17.6mm, the WX170 managed to keep its weight at a feather light 103 grams despite packing not only an 18MP sensor, but also Sony’s very own BIONZ image processing chip.

Canon has launched their first Mirrorless Digital Camera – Canon EOS M . Mirrorless cameras are compact interchangeable lens cameras with DSLR-like quality imaging .The new Canon EOS M features 18-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and is powered by the Canon DIGIC 5 processor . There is a 3-inch smudge-resistant touchscreen and built-in stereo mic . The camera sports new hybrid autofocus system for more accurate performance. For its compact size there are few dedicated dedicated buttons as most are replaced with touchscreen options. There is no electronic viewfinder but it has a full-size hot shoe which supports most of the Canon Speed-lite flashes and GPS Receiver.

Panasonic Unveils New Lumix G5, LX7 and SZ5 Digital Cameras

Panasonic has come up with new members to the Panasonic’s Lumix family. They are the DMC-G5, DMC-FZ200, DMC-SZ5 and DMC-LX7. DMC LX7 is a faster, more evolved version of its predecessor, LX5. It is an advanced point and shoot camera that is bound to excite the enthusiasts as it is priced at $500. Lumix G5 is a mirrorless, interchangeable lens camera with a micro four thirds sensor.
