Sony unveils Windows 8-powered Vaio Duo 11 tablet, Tap 20 AIO


Sony has also joined the Windows 8 bandwagon as it introduces the Vaio Duo 11 tablet PC and Vaio Tap 20 portable touchscreen all-in-one.


Also dubbed as hybrid ultrabook, the Sony Vaio Duo 11 runs on Windows 8 / 8 Pro and features slide-out backlit QWERTY keyboard, an 11.6-inch OptiContrast FullHD 1920 x 1080 capacitive touchscreen. The device is powered by Intel Ivy Bridge i7, i5 and i3 processors with Intel HD Graphics 4000.

The Sony Vaio Duo 11 has Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, a SD card slot, two Full HD 2MP cameras at the front and back and NFC. The device can also be used with Sony digitizer stylus. The device measures 320 mm x 17.85 mm x 199 mm and weighs 1.3kg. Find out more about the device here.

The Sony Vaio Tap 20 is the company's first Windows 8 all-in-one PC and is likely to be pitted against other Windows 8 AIOs. It runs on Windows 8 / Windows 8 Pro and is powered by the choice of Ivy Bridge Core i7, i5 and i3 processors. The device has 4GB / 8GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and a 20-inch 1600x900 Vaio Display Plus with the Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. Check out full specifications of the device here.
